If you’re interested in being a behind-the-scenes witness to the creation of the 2011 Underbelly Arts projects, come and watch the artists during their 10-day open-door residency. During this residency, called The Lab, you can get a rare insight into the world of an artist – watch as they work, ask questions, or join in one of our free interactive sessions, workshops or daily tours.

Meet us at Cockatoo Island for a free daily tour to watch the artists at work and learn about their projects as they create, build, experiment, workshop, write and rehearse a diverse program of work including electronic and live music, sculpture, theatre, sound and film production, dance and installation. Some of them specifically need your help to develop, so be prepared to get creative!

We’ll also be running some workshops during the Lab with the artists and these will be open to the public.
