PROJECT: THE LUMIPHONIC CREATURE CHOIR

‘The Lumiphonic Creature Choir’ is Synarcade Audio-Visuals’ new work-in-progress and the follow-on from the acclaimed “Emergence: Build Your Own Being”. It is a ghostly 21st century organ of human voices singing songs and reciting tales for a digitally cloned age. A band of multimedia artists will workshop sketches of this unique new interactive performance combining music, theatre and visuals together in the playing of organic, hybrid and monstrous forms.

Synarcade Audio-Visuals is an award-winning collective of emerging multimedia artists specialising in the creation of innovative, interactive work that fuse theatre, film and music together. Synarcade has created many cutting-edge cross-media works including “Emergence: Build Your Own Being” (2007) which premiered at the Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Arts House and Canberra Street Theatre to great critical acclaim; and interactive visuals for the Sydney Festival (2006-2010). With Artistic Director Mark Bolotin, this project also features Ian Shoebridge, Ayesha Mehta, Richard Cartwright, Laura Bishop & Rob De Masi.
